Meet Tiger Heart’s new Intern – Naomi

Hi there, my full name is Naomi Alesia Roxanne Ruddock but my friends call me Naomi and from today I will be interning at Tiger Heart over the next ten weeks.

I originally come from South West London, which is in my opinion the most beautiful part of London but I could be a little bias saying that. I moved to ‘London by the sea’, which is also known as Brighton, in 2014 and wouldn’t trade living here for anywhere in the world (okay maybe somewhere a little bit hotter, but only if you’re offering). Why the move? Well, like many others who live here, I did my undergraduate degree at the University of Brighton, studying International Event Management. I feel like I got so much more than an education, I made friends, contacts and had some great experiences working for different businesses around Brighton, such as doing events for a local charity.

Since graduating in 2017, I’ve carried on working in events, such as providing staffing solutions and working in experiential marketing for an agency in Shoreditch. After leaving in early 2018, I decided to start my own business in event management and planning. I started the business, William James Events, then a few months later I accepted my offer to study at the University of Sussex studying Cultural and Creative Industries. To say it’s been a whirlwind would be an understatement, to say it’s been a challenge would be correct and to say it’s not been fun so far would be a lie.

And now? I’m looking forward to getting my teeth stuck into working with Tiger Heart! I’m so excited to be learning more about technology and how it’s changing the events industry. I’ve had the opportunity of working with other tech brands before such as Oculus, but I know my time with Tiger Heart will really teach me more about technology innovation. First up, working on a Virtual Reality project which, will shine a light on some pivotal societal issues, something none of us should be ignoring. All will be revealed in good time but I’m looking forward to documenting and sharing it with you all!
